About me

I am a truly passionate about the sport while maintaining a strong career in civil engineering over the last 4 years. Working with interns and new hires during my time as a civil engineer has given me a good perspective on helping others with less experience. I think that coupled with my 15+ years of experience skateboarding would make me a great candidate to teach lessons.

What Will Students Get From a Course With You?

No matter what skill level I will be working with being comfortable on a skateboard is the most important step. Being comfortable helps build the confidence to learn and maintain new tricks. For a beginner, being comfortable and confident while riding is crucial to become an intermediate level ride. For an intermediate rider, being comfortable trying new tricks is necessary to become an advanced rider.

What Types Of Tricks And Skating Can You Teach?

I am best at skateboarding transition (I'm comfortable skateboarding half pipes, bowls, quarter pipes up to 10' high) but with the amount of years I've spent skateboarding I have learned a lot of flat ground and street tricks as well. I'm also comfortable teaching tricks I don't personally know or do on a regular basis. Although I'm 28 years old I'm still able to learn new tricks or relearn old ones!

What parks/areas are closest for you to give lessons?

Richard L. Guthrie Skatepark (Cottonwood Heights,), Copperview Skatepark (Midvale), Sandy Skatepark, Holladay, park city, Bluff dale (will soon have a new skatepark). I'm open to traveling to other parks!
